Your past is atoned for!
If you are a saved child of God, please stop berating yourself over the past. It is not uncommon today, to see many people holding on to the guilt of their past sins. Even when they have repented, confessed such pasts, and are already forgiven, such believers keep on holding to the past.
I think such people are reducing God to their level, because when men forgive, they keep on tripping you with the past. Listen! When the Lord forgives, he forgets. Because of Jesus, every believers in God’s Son is seen as a brand new person. It’s like you’ve never sin before.
No wonder, 2 Corinthians 5:17 stated: ‘If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold! All has become new.’
Your past is fully atoned for, with the incorruptible blood of Jesus. It is only in the Old Testament that the blood of animals cover sins. The eternal blood of Jesus removes sins totally. Listen!’As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.’ (Psalm 103:12).
Stop listening to Preachers who keep reminding you of your past. Listen more to those who are teaching you of your new nature and its benefits, as well as your position in Christ Jesus.
When Jesus said ‘it is finished’, he meant every words of it.
We all have a past, just like the great Saints of the Bible days. God used them nevertheless.
Your past is atoned for!
Your present is assured!!
Your future is insured by Jesus!!!
Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1).
